Who We Are

Boat people who look out for the little guy, do the job right, and get you back on the water — no matter your budget.

How We Got Here

We didn't start Level Up Marine just to run a business. We started it because we love the water. We grew up fishing, running bass boats, and spending every free weekend we could out on the lake. That passion for being on the water naturally turned into a passion for fixing boats and keeping them there.

But we also know the struggle. We've been there—buying our first boats, being told they were "solid," only to find out they were rotten under the deck. We know what it's like when things break, go bad, or just quit working, and you don't have unlimited funds to pay super high shop prices. We know what it feels like to need help and have absolutely no idea who you can trust to fix it without getting ripped off.

That's exactly why we built this shop. We look out for the little guy. We know not everybody has a boat that came off the showroom floor last year, and not everybody has an unlimited budget. We work with people at every level — whether you're trying to get a beater back running for the season or building something up right over time. Whatever you've got to work with, we'll tell you honestly what it needs, what it can wait on, and how to get the most out of your money.

When your boat's in our bay, we don't just look at what you came in for—we look at the whole thing. We'll tell you what's actually going on, what needs fixing now, what can wait, and what you should keep an eye on. No scare tactics, no upselling. Just honest answers from people who have been exactly where you are.

What We Stand For

Proper Craftsmanship. Every Single Job.

There's a right way and a fast way. We take the time to do it right. Every time. We take every job seriously, whether it's a minor gelcoat repair or a full structural rebuild. Fiberglass bonded to clean, dry substrate. Wiring labeled, loomed, and waterproofed. Transoms ground back to solid material. If we touch it, it's done to a standard we'd accept on our own boats — and one you can be proud of.

Fair Pricing, No Games

Our quotes are real numbers based on real hours and real materials. We don't lowball you to win the job, then pad the bill with mystery charges. We also understand that not everyone has a blank check. We'll always tell you what needs to happen now, what can wait, and what the most cost-effective path looks like. No surprises, no pressure — just honest numbers so you can make the best decision for your situation.

We Stand Behind It

If something's not right, we make it right. No arguing. No runaround. No "that's normal" nonsense when you know it's not. Most of our customers come from referrals because the work held up, and because when someone's not happy, even if it's a year later, we pick up the phone and handle it.

Like It's Our Own

Your boat doesn't get treated like a number in a queue. We cover the deck so we don't scratch it. We keep track of your hardware so you're not missing bolts at reassembly. We don't eat lunch on your upholstery or leave grease stains on the console. You put time and money into that rig. We respect that.

Straight Talk

We explain things in plain English. Not shop jargon meant to make us sound smart and you feel dumb. If your transom's rotted, we'll show you the soft spots and explain why it happened. If your wiring's a mess, we'll walk you through what we found and what we're doing to fix it. Photos, texts, phone calls, whatever works for you. We treat you like a partner.

Better Than It Ever Was.

Our goal isn't just to fix what's broken — it's to hand your boat back better than it ever was. When we rebuild a transom, it goes back stronger than factory. When we run wire, it's tinned marine-grade with proper heat-shrink, built to last in a harsh environment. We take the time because we want you to be proud of that boat every time you put it in the water.

We Take Every Job Seriously.

Boats break. It's what they do. Gelcoat cracks when you hit a wake wrong. Stringers rot because water got in through a poorly bedded fitting ten years ago. Wiring corrodes where you can't see it. Motors fail at the worst possible moment, usually right before a tournament or a holiday weekend.

What matters is who you trust to fix it. Not someone who slaps a band-aid on it and rushes to the next job — but someone who takes their time, does it with real craftsmanship, and genuinely cares about delivering work you're proud to show off. That's what we're here for.

We've seen it all. We've opened up hulls where some hack slapped resin over wet, rotted balsa and called it "repaired." We've traced wiring diagrams on boats where the "electrician" used wire nuts, electrical tape, and extension cord wire inside a bilge. We've cut into transoms held together with expanding foam and Bondo. Every single one of those boats cost the owner more in the long run because the quick fix didn't hold, and usually caused more damage in the meantime.

When you bring your boat to us, we take the time it deserves. We grind till we hit solid material. We use marine-grade tinned copper, properly crimped and heat-shrunk. We bed hardware with 3M 5200 or Sikaflex. We paint with systems designed for constant UV exposure — not shortcuts that look good for one season and fail in the next.

We want you to pull up to the ramp and feel good about your boat. We want you to look at the work we did and know it was done right. That dependable, professional quality is what every single person who brings us their boat deserves — and it's what we deliver every time.

Center consoles, bay boats, offshore rigs, flats skiffs, we've worked on all of it. Fiberglass, aluminum, wood-core, no-core. If you're not sure whether we handle what you've got, just call. And if it's something outside our wheelhouse, we'll tell you straight up and point you toward someone who can handle it. No ego. No wasted time.

Our Customers

Weekend anglers who need their skiff running solid for Saturday morning. Charter captains who can't afford to be down during peak season. Guys who bought a project boat and finally decided to stop staring at it and get it done right. People who care about their rigs and want someone working on them who cares too.

We're not a volume shop. We don't rush jobs out the door to clear the bay for the next one. When your boat's here, it's getting real attention from people who know what they're doing. That's why our schedule stays busy, by design. We'd rather do fewer jobs right than crank out quick fixes that have you back in here six months later with the same problem.

Most of our business is referrals and repeat customers. That tells you everything you need to know. Boat people talk. When someone at the ramp asks "who fixed your transom?" or "who rewired your console?", our name comes up because the work held up, the price was fair, and nobody felt like they got jerked around.

Let's Get Your Boat Right

Bring it to people who know what they're doing, respect your time, and do work that doesn't need to be redone. Call us, stop by the shop, or send a message. We'll tell you honestly what we see and what it'll take to fix it.
